MERC faculty offer expertise in the use of qualitative research methods to discover mechanisms that explain health disparities and to design and evaluate interventions both in the community and healthcare settings for racially and ethnically and limited English proficient populations. Specific qualitative methodologies include ethnography, in-depth interviews, focus groups and photo elicitation also known as Photovoice.
